ActionBar changes

Developing for so many different Android versions and screen sizes can be quite challenging. I’m aware that the current bottom menu and right document list  aren’t exactly user friendly (specially on tablets). That’s why I added the action bar alternative, a couple of versions ago, for those having at least Honeycomb phones or tablets. I think this solution works great on tablets except I still didn’t like the document list on the right on small screens. So, in the next version there will be many different possible configuration that Honeycomb or ICS users can choose from:

Turning of the action bar in “preferences -> appearance” gets you the classical mode (funny how DroidEdit has a classical mode when I started coding it 3 months ago):

Action bar “on” and hide document list “off” gets you the action bar and the document list on your right. In this mode you can also change documents using the action bar:

Action bar “on” and hide document list “on” gets you the action bar and also hides the document list. In this mode you get a few more horizontal pixels and you’ll have to change documents using the action bar:

Action bar “on” and hide document list “off”and split action bar “on” gets you the action bar, right document list and adds an extra action bar to the bottom. Useful if you have a narrow screen and want to have more icons showing but will cost you some vertical space:

Action bar “on” and hide document list “on”and split action bar “on” gets you the action bar, no right document list but adds an extra action bar to the bottom:
