It’s taking more time to release the next version of DroidEdit as I decided to throw in another commonly requested feature. In the next version, besides plain FTP and SFTP (SSH File Transfer Protocol), you’ll also be able to use FTPS (FTP over TLS/SSL) and FTPES (Explicit FTPS).

Create Folder, Preview in Browser and New Action Bar

Some new features already available in DroidEdit and some that will be added in the next update.

An alternative action bar layout, with file management icons grouped together, so you can more easily access find and share options. Go into Preferences > Appearance to use it:

The possibility to choose the browser in which you want to preview your HTML files. Very usefull if you’re using JellyBean and have Chrome as your default browser:
